S0 John turned 10 yesterday! I can't believe two of my kids are in the 2-digit ages! Wow, how time flies. Since we are in the process of packing and moving, I have already packed away the scrapbooks or else I would show you some cute baby pictures of John, but I'll have to settle with since I got digital and we came to Arizona.
Below is in our apartment after we moved here: Rebecca was 5 and John 4. Weren't they cute!

Trying to figure out the whole skating thing in the park:

Karate Man:

Crazy hair day at school:
At house in Peoria:

Look at him go! I remember when we first started swim lessons and he would sit on the side of the pool and would NOT go in the water unless I went over and dropped him in. The swim instructor had a hard time of it for a couple years but now he loves to swim!

I'm not sure when it happened or if it was always there, but suddenly he became the goof ball that always had to be the center of attention and to make others laugh.

It is hard to get a picture where he is not trying to be silly:
It was a great birthday for him I think. We went to Target and he spent some of his birthday money from Grandmas on a new chess/checker set and the Battleship game and we played that during the day and then we went to Red Robin for dinner and had an excellent time there. We even got them to sing to him and he got a free sundae! After a stop at Goodwill we came home and had his treat and then played some more. He still wants a party with his friends but he wants it at the pool and a sleepover, so we told him in June after we move would be good for that! John is such a great boy and always makes me laugh. What a blessing he is in our lives! I keep telling him to slow down on the whole aging thing.....
Looks like he had a fun day! Love the ice-cream sandwich box cake! ;)
ReplyDeleteTalk about easy for you!!
What a sweet boy, and lucky to have older kids to help with the babies.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I forget that John is in between Rebecca and Sierra. Happy Bday and we look forward to seeing you sometime when you pass through.
