My Summer

Summer began with:
cleaning, packing, moving

New house:
no kitchen, no dryer, no water heater....
contractors, cleaning, organizing....
no TV, no internet, chaos....

My Trip:
Flying, Family, Vegas, MGM Grand, Wolfgang Puck, Cirque de Soliel....
M&M Store, Coca-Cola Store, Slots, Shopping, Lion Exhibit.....
St.George, UT, Hurricane, Dad, Brother, family, food, food, and More Food...
Star Treck, Shopping, Pictures, Fun...

Back to New House:
Hugs, Happy, New water heater, Hot showers :)....
Beds set up, clothes organized, Hanging clothes on line to dry...
Heat miserable, delays with contractors, new problems....
No money, no vacations, still no dryer, no kitchen, no TV, no internet...
Dishes done in bathroom, bugs a plenty, lots of mopping, lots of dirt, outside grilling...
Kids complaining, Boredom looming, tears shedding, more mold finding...
Cox delaying- hard work order pending, cabinet set-backs, dry-wall repairing...

End of summer:
Electrical fixing, dryer working, tile replacing, paint completing, yard sale finding....
Kids creating, DVD watching, fort building, friends calling....
Cabinet installing, countertop placing, school shopping, hope inspiring...

Kids back in school:
Sink installed, Kitchen using!, Plumbing finished, Internet zooming!

Now we just have a hundred more little things to do and remodel and then we'll be done! Maybe by winter we'll get around to the outside of the house....... hmmmm...

It was a long, hard summer but we survived and though I was tempted I didn't take the kids and leave Doug. :) The kitchen looks beautiful and I'm very happy with it now. I'm so glad to be back online as well. Hopefully, things will keep improving now.
