This is one of John's recent monster drawings:

Anyone want to take a stab at what 1. you think it is, and 2. what is going on in the picture?

  1. First of all...wow! John is really talented! The details are wonderful for his age! Now for the interpretation...it is obvious to me that the long dragon thingy has eggs that are hatching from the ground, and it is protecting it's babies from the other two dragon thingies...ok, so that's the mom in me. I am sure it is quite the opposite, haha.

  2. So my problem is I read Callies comment and now thats all I can think of. I wonder also because of how the other 2 dragons/beasts are if they are coming out of the one dragon?

  3. Reluctantly, John says that Callie is the most correct. The circle thing on the ground is the larvae that will eventually grow into different stages until it looks like the one blowing fire (a snake dragon). The other two are different seperate dragons (I thought it was a two-headed one) and they are trying to kill the snake dragon and eat the eggs. So there you go. This is what I have to deal with almost every day with John's creations. :)

  5. Callie, you still have that butterfinger in the freezer right? :) ha ha ha.
And John didn't think a couple of "old moms" could figure out his complex imagination!!
